‘Kentucky Life’ features dormant kiln’s revival, Simon Kenton in Maysville and hand-printed literature

For Release: 10/07/26 9:01 AM

In a new episode of Kentucky Life, host Chip Polston meets a group of Kentucky potters who have brought new life to an Anagama kiln that sat unused for decades.

The program also explores the story of legendary frontiersman Simon Kenton, who guided settlers through Limestone, a port that is now Maysville on the Ohio River.

Finally, Polston introduces the passionate artisans who preserve a centuries-old tradition by printing Kentucky’s greatest literature entirely by hand.
