Untappd Launches the 3rd Annual Untappd Community Awards, Spotlighting the Best Beverages Across the Globe

Powered by tens of millions of ratings in 2025, the Untappd community honors 25,000+ top-rated drinks from more than 7,100 producers in 100 countries.

CHARLOTTE, NC, UNITED STATES, March 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- For the third year in a row, Untappd—the world’s largest beverage discovery and ratings platform connecting producers, retailers, and drinks enthusiasts worldwide — celebrates the world’s highest-rated beverages. Driven by verified ratings from a global community of nearly 11 million beverage lovers, the 3rd annual Untappd Community Awards recognizes the highest-rated drinks of 2025.

Spotlighting more than 25,000 award-winning beers from over 7,100 craft producers across 100 countries, the Untappd Community Awards reflect what drinkers truly loved over the past year — across 268 drink substyles, including beer, mead, cider, and more from every major beverage-producing region worldwide.

Since launching in 2023, the Untappd Community Awards have quickly become a trusted benchmark for discovering first-class craft beverages. Building on the momentum of its first two years, the 2026 awards — presented by Ekos — drive Untappd’s legacy of celebrating the beverage producers, styles, and innovations that resonate most with drinkers worldwide.

New to 2026, the Untappd Community Awards expands to 100 countries, up from 50 in previous years, and adds new beverage types outside of beer, including mead, cider, wine, and spirits. Additionally, a new category, Festival Beers, will showcase the highest-rated beers in an exclusive festival category in both the United States and internationally.

In total, 25,510 beverages from 7,140 producers earned top-three placements within their respective substyles. In the United States alone, over 3,200 producers brewed at least one award-winning beverage at the state or national level.

The ten U.S. breweries with the highest number of state- or national-level award-winning beers include: Tree House Brewing Company (Charlton, MA), Sapwood Cellars Brewery (Columbia, MD), Hill Farmstead Brewery (Greensboro, VT), Schilling Beer Co. (Littleton, NH), Burial Beer Co. (Asheville, NC), Fox Farm Brewery (Salem, CT), Fabled Brew Works (Erlanger, KY), Anchorage Brewing Company (Anchorage, AK), Barrique Brewing and Blending (Nashville, TN), and Side Project Brewing (St. Louis, MO).

To qualify, drinks had to receive at least 50 ratings from unique Untappd users in 2025, with awards granted in substyles in all geographies where at least three products met that threshold.

In 2025, Year Three from Schramm’s Mead (Fernadale, MI) ranked as the highest-rated drink in the United States. Rounding out the top ten were CNSRV 01 from Black Rose Blending Co. (Madison, WI); Aibohphobia (2025) from Dimensional Brewing Company (Dubuque, IA); Barrel Aged Blue Suede Shews, Cellar Reserve, and Snake in the Rye from Pips Meadery (Gurnee, IL); 500 from Moksa Brewing Co. (Rocklin, CA); Call of the Void (Extended Aging) from Pips Meadery; Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout from Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. (Decorah, IA); and Triple Grasp from Horus Aged Ales (Oceanside, CA).

Internationally, with 69 beers placing in the top three nationally, Mikkeller (Denmark) claimed the top spot, knocking two-time top international award winner, Pühaste Brewery (Tartu, Estonia), down to second. The remaining top international breweries by total award count include Garage Project (New Zealand), Salikatt (Norway), Omnipollo (Sweden), Põhjala (Estonia), Funky Fluid (Poland), Polly’s Brew Co. (Wales), Brew Your Mind (Hungary), and Alder Beer Co. (Italy).

Top-rated drinks across leading international Untappd geographies included Stevnsberry CRYO Ugandan Vanilla (2023) from Marlobobo (Norway), Double Barrel Leviathan from Bad Seed Brewing (Denmark), Fanal CRYO Ugandan Vanilla (2024) and Bourbon BA Stevnsberry CRYO (2021) from Marlobobo, CRUMBLE - Cinnamon Dusted Apple Crumble And Vanilla Ice Cream from Azvex Brewing Company (England), Lunar V from Track Brewing Company (England), Lambda 2025 from Brouwerij Bravoure (Netherlands), Barrel Aged Twilight of the Idols from Spartacus Brewing (Brazil), and Dolgo Is-sider (Sauternes Edition) and Dolgo Is-sider (Cherry Liqueur) from Lindheim Ølkompani (Norway), among others.
